Childbirth preparation course for couples 18.04. - 19.04.

This childbirth preparation course for couples takes place over a weekend and is held in English. It is designed to offer both pregnant women and their partners or support persons practical tools and clear information to feel more confident and connected throughout the birthing journey.
 

The course runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including several breaks and a longer lunch break. It takes place at:

Vivantes Klinikum Neukölln
Pavilion 12 (top floor)
Rudower Str. 48, 12351 Berlin

The course combines up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge with movement, breathwork, and group discussions. There is space for questions, sharing experiences, and exploring how both partners can actively support the birth process.

Topics covered include:

• Anatomy of the female body and third trimester changes
• How to prepare the hospital bag and choose a birth location
• The different phases of labor and what to expect
• Pain relief options and how to cope with contractions
• Pelvic mobility exercises and perineal relaxation
• Exploring various birthing positions
• Postpartum recovery and the basics of breastfeeding
• When and how to go to the hospital

Participants are invited to wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle, snacks, and lunch for the day.

The course offers a balance of theory and practice, with a supportive atmosphere that welcomes all questions, experiences, and cultural perspectives. It is suitable for both first-time parents and those wishing to reconnect with the process in a new pregnancy.

The course fee for the pregnant participant is covered by the health insurance.
For the accompanying person, a partner fee of €160 applies. This amount must be transferred before the course begins and includes participation in both days. After the course, a receipt will be issued, which can be submitted to the insurance for reimbursement.
